Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox received a scholarship to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She lived off of a student allowance and took on part-time employment to augment her budget. Lennox felt that her skills aren't the same as her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other paths she could take. Lennox was initially a flute-player with the group Dragons Playground. The band did not appear on the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. Her main role was as the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. They met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her debut solo album Diva that was out around 1992. Commercially and critically the album was a massive hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in October 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her most loved blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. The first single from her debut album"Now I'm Letting You go... It is an accompaniment to her installation of work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists had a minor hit in late 1970s. Lennox as well as Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to achieve international fame in 1980s with the Eurythmics. Lennox launched her solo career by releasing her debut album Diva in the year 1992. This was the source of many hit songs like Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa is a studio album that features cover versions of popular songs such as No More I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her credits include the release of six studio albums on her own as well as a compilation.
